In the spring and summer there are myriad wild flowers from early snowdrops, primroses and violets within the woods, to carpets of orchids, harebells, ragged robin and meadowsweet later on. Go trout fishing on over two miles of the River Doon, and a 60 acre loch. Day permits are available for £12 and we can arrange fly fishing lessons from a local expert.
Gaze at 10,000 stars above. We are in a gold tier Dark Sky Park. You can arrange to visit the Scottish Dark Skies Observatory which is on the Estate. It operates by appointment only. Sit around a camp fire in the evening, listen to the hooting of the owls and toast marshmallows.
